About GridBulk

What GridBulk is, why batch generation with grid splitting is cheaper for volume work, and the principles behind the product.

What GridBulk is

GridBulk is a batch AI image generation tool with one twist that changes the economics: instead of producing a single image per request, it generates a grid of up to 4×4 images in one pass and splits it pixel-perfect into individual assets. Whether you asked for one image or sixteen, a generation costs one credit.

Three modes cover the common shapes of volume work. Single produces one image. Gacha fills the grid with variations of one prompt — good for exploring a concept in many directions at once. Compose assigns one prompt per cell, so a 3×3 grid becomes a nine-shot storyboard or a full product angle sheet from a single submission.

Why batch

Creative work at volume is repetitive by nature: ad variants, social media matrices, e-commerce angle shots, style exploration boards. Generating those one image at a time means paying the round-trip cost — prompt, wait, review, repeat — sixteen times over. A grid collapses that loop into one request: you compare the results side by side, keep what works, and regenerate only the direction worth pursuing.

Under the hood

GridBulk runs on established image models — Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT Image — selected per generation, with reference images supported for style guidance. Outputs land as presigned URLs you can download individually or as a ZIP. Everything is reachable programmatically: a REST API with sync and async endpoints, and an MCP server so AI agents can drive generation on their own. The API contract is published as an OpenAPI spec at /openapi.json.

Principles

  • One credit per grid. Pricing should be predictable; grid size is a creative decision, not a cost decision.
  • Compare, don't cherry-pick blind. The contact-sheet view exists because judgment improves when results are seen together.
  • Agents are first-class users. The API, the MCP server, and the docs are built for machines as much as for people.
  • Independent and self-funded. GridBulk is a small product run on revenue, not on venture timelines.
